Virtual Makeover at "Cyber Salon"
by Bob Moore, SLFP.com
ST. LOUIS, (SLFP.com), Jan 21, 2001 -
The Working Women's Survival Show at the America's Center, Jan 19 - 21, provided a hands-on opportunity for women to change their hair style and makeup via computer at the "Cyber Salon," presented by Apple Computer and the MacStore.
The event drew long lines as women waited patiently to tryout a new look with a new software program, Seventeen Style Studio from L'Orèal®. Each participant had their picture taken with a digital camera by a staff member from the MacStore. The image was scaned into one of the MAC's on display. Within a few minutes and several clicks of the mouse, each person was able to view their image and begin changing makeup, eye color, hair style and color.

Seventeen Style Studio instantly created an exciting transformation from dramatic dark bouncy curls to the hippest hairstyles and from formal up-dos to classic cuts. Preset templates allowed participants to apply various cosmetic colors and accessories to create a new look for every mood. There were smiles all around as everyone viewed the new images on the screen.
The program also allowed each participant to finish their new look with the latest of hats and sunglasses from Roxy Quicksilver® or even add extra dazzle with trend-setting jewlrey from Seventeen.
After experimenting with the newest makeup from L'Orèal®, each participant was able to download a full color picture of their final transformation to take home.
Seventeen Style Studio also provides Quizzes from Seventeen and the chance to put your new looks on e-postcards, key chains and T-shirts through KODAK PHOTONET Online.

Stomach-Friendly Coffee Introduced
LITTLE ROCK, AR, (PRNewswire), Jan 21, 2001 - Johann Wulff's stomach-friendly
coffee, a new product that allows serious coffee drinkers around the world to
sit back, relax and enjoy that second, third, or fourth cup of coffee, is now
available at Chamberlain's locations and select specialty groceries in
Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.
Wulff's Coffee is positioned with the
tagline, "If you love coffee, but it doesn't love you," because it may be
consumed without the accompanying heart burn and/or indigestion often
associated with coffee consumption.
Marketed exclusively in the United States by Coffee Legends, Inc.,
Johann's Wulff's stomach-friendly coffee is blended from premium Arabica
coffee beans that have been personally selected by renowned coffee
professional Johann Wulff whose expertise in this process is so important to
Coffee Legends that his palate is insured for one million dollars.
According to Wulff, who works exclusively with Coffee Legends, coffee
drinkers are demanding the best from restaurants, airlines, and other outlets.
Johann Wulff's stomach-friendly coffee can fill the need created by aging baby
boomers who have the discretionary income and desire for good coffee.
Wulff's Coffee also fills a void for others with more serious health
concerns such as diabetes. "Fifty percent of diabetics cannot drink either
regular or decaffeinated coffee," said Dr. Joseph Schmer, former co-Chief of
Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy for Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn,
New York. "The stomach-friendly coffee that results from using
steam-processed beans allows them to reintroduce coffee to their diet."
"People are drinking more and more coffee," Wulff said. "Only soft drinks
are consumed in larger quantities." He predicts a continuing increase in
coffee consumption, especially among the baby boomers who have reached a stage
in their lives where they want to be pampered with creature comforts and enjoy
the better things in life. And they are prepared to pay for them. "The
prevalence of gourmet food shops, spas and personal trainers serve as
testimony to this," said Wulff. "Johann Wulff's stomach-friendly coffee fits
into this niche perfectly. It has a classic flavor that is smooth and full
bodied and allows coffee lovers with sensitive stomachs to enjoy multiple cups
of coffee."
In addition to Chamlerlain's and other select groceries, Wulff's
stomach-friendly coffee is available at www.theconsideratecoffee.com
