Each year about twelve million people visit the 63 parks featuring nearly 13,000
acres of parkland maintained by the St. Louis County Department of Parks and Recreation.
There's a wide variety of leisure and recreational facilities for all ages, in addition
to "theme parks" where visitors can roam through historic areas and even an animal farm
zoo. Three regional family recreation complexes each feature an indoor ice skating rink,
an outdoor Olympic-size pool and creative playgrounds. For more information about hours,
