LOUIS, IL - Despite threatening skies and occasional rain, thousands of jazz fans, young and old, spent a cool afternoon listening to jazz artists perform many of Miles Davis' standards at the Casino Queen on the East St. Louis Riverfront. The Miles Davis All-Starr Jazz Festival Birthday Celebration featured local, regional and nationally known jazz musicians including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Clark Terry, Ahmad Jamal and Russell Gunn. ![]() (L. - R.)
