The pool schedules are posted at the sites. "We open our outdoor pools after the public schools close for the summer," said Evelyn Rice-Peebles, recreation commissioner. "We want everyone - from toddlers to teenagers and adults - to enjoy our swimming pools and the variety of activities we offer for the summer through our recreation centers." Youngsters ages 4 to 12 can participate in the city's day camps, which open Monday, June 27, in parks, schools and recreation centers throughout the city.
