ST. LOUIS, (SLFP.com), October 3, 2003 - New luxury townhomes will soon compliment the urban streetscape at 5300-5400 Delmar Boulevard, just west of Union in the City's West End.

Groundbreaking ceremonies held, October 1, for Delmar Place Townhomes, were attended by city and local officials, representatives of area businesses and residents.

Citigroup Opens New Facility in O'Fallon
O'FALLON, MO, (SLFP.com), October 2, 2003 - Citigroup employees were officially welcomed to their new state-of-the-art home with a grand opening ceremony, October 2, with Governor Bob Holden and Citigroup's Marge Magner, Chairman and CEO of the Global Consumer Group.

Clayco Construction Company and Forum Studio, Inc. completed the design-build of the 515,000-square-foot CitiMortgage office building and processing center on an aggressive schedule. The largest project to be completed in the St. Louis metropolitan area in 2003 broke ground in January 2002 and was delivered this August.

The facility is the first to be constructed in Progress Point Business Park, a new 168-acre TRiSTAR Business Communities, Inc. development. The building is constructed of architectural cast-in-place concrete panels with brick inlays, glass curtain wall and metal panel cladding.

Other features include emergency generator-supported workstations, elevators, UPS loads, selected mechanical and life safety systems, state-of-the-art computer and communications rooms.

Construction of 40 new townhomes will be modeled along the lines of the Kingsbury-Nina Place Townhomes in the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood, with prices starting in the low $200s. The 2.5 story luxury homes will have 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths, 2 car garages, large decks, fireplaces, plus many other optional features to personalize each home to the buyer's taste. Sales and marketing will be handled through Coldwell-Banker Premier with Gail Farwell as principal agent.

In an interview following the ceremonial groundbreaking, Darlene Green, Comptroller, spoke enthusiastically about the project. "When the residents see new homes being built around them, it gives them hope for their community and for the homes that they live in. It's breathing new life into the neighborhood and that's great news for the city," she said.

Green noted that there are hundreds of new homes currently being built. "Perhaps there are thousands when you add the lofts, condos and single family units that are being built all across the city - north, south and central. That's breathing new life into the neighborhoods for the residents who have choosen to stay," stated Green.

"This area is represented by Frank Williamson, Jr., 26th Ward Alderman, and formerly by Alderman Irv Clay," stated Lyda Krewson, 28th Ward Adlerman. "I knew the developer because of the work he had done on the Nina Place Townhomes. I helped but the right people together. I think this is key for the whole Central West End and the whole area. It's going to be awesome."

Delmar Place Townhomes Delmar Place Townhomes is being built by Town & Country Homes, Inc. and Delmar Place Land Development, LLC. Construction lending is being provided by Bank of America. Funding assistance was secured through Community Development Block Grant for the site development work, including new streets, storm and sanitary sewers, new water service and all other utilities.
