McBride & Son's Read & Run Marathon kicks off at 8 a.m. on May 5 at St. Louis Galleria. The first 1000 kids to register will receive a free book. Children who wish to participate in the event will have an opportunity to run their first "official" mile within the property of the Galleria. The final 1.2 miles will be completed at Soldiers' Memorial on October 21. The events on Saturday, October 20, include a 5k run, 10k Volksmarch & walk, and three children's runs.
